“The spirit of mothers to do waste sorting from home and practice composting is facilitated by forming groups in waste management. Hopefully, at that time, the compost that has been made can already be applied.” Meanwhile, Shandra added that “This activity will continue, we will integrate it with the planting of vegetables in the mother's yard. On this occasion, mothers are taught to make compost and practice it, and then check it again in the next two weeks,” he said. “This compost can be used by residents for their garden plants. Meanwhile, the organic waste produced from sorting waste at home can be used to make simple compost. The organic waste collected, he continued, can be sold to the Rumah Kardus waste bank, which already exists but was stopped at RW 8. Sorting starting from the house is the key to the running of the waste bank in Situ Gede village,” said Bahroin in the socialization. “There are seven stages in the waste bank, of which the most crucial is the sorting stage. The activity which was attended by the women of the Women Farmers Group (KWT) was a refresher regarding the importance of sorting waste. Apart from FEM, this activity also collaborated with a lecturer from the Department of Agronomy and Horticulture, namely Shandra Amarillis. They are lecturers from the Department of Economic Resources and Environment (ESL), Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM) Bahroin Idris Tampubolon, Fitria Dewi Raswatie, Asti Istiqomah, Osmaleli, and Dina Lianita Sari. This socialization activity was held in RW 8, Situ Gede Village, Bogor (23/10).
